The Role

We are seeking an energetic administrative accounts receivable person for our Wollongong office, which is part of the broader Sydney Region (Sydney CBD, Parramatta and Wollongong offices) Business Support team.  This person will report to the manager, who is based in the Sydney CBD office, and will be expected to travel to Sydney CBD once a month for meetings with the broader team.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Regional debtor follow up calls and correspondence
  • Preparation of monthly AR statements
  • Daily cash receipting
  • Assisting the month end process
  • Setup and coordination of online business meetings
  • Maintain internal communication platform for the Wollongong office
  • Assist with fee proposals
  • Maintaining and update of record keeping in our software programs
  • General office duties – answering calls, scanning/filing, coordinate catering and general office upkeep

As the successful candidate you will possess:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (Construction / Engineering / Real Estate industry experience ideal)
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confidence to make calls
  • The ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong planning and organisation skills, able to work with minimal supervision
  • An outgoing and professional manner including strong customer service orientation with a proactive and helpful approach
  • High work standards and attention to detail, ensuring quality and accuracy for all tasks
  • Reliability, capable of working well with people at all levels
