The Role

Our busy Sydney Region is growing and therefore our IT team is expanding!  As the junior IT Technician, you will be supporting our largest office based in Sydney CBD with all IT related concerns. Reporting to and working closely with the senior IT Technician, every day will present new challenges and no two days will ever be the same.

Some of the duties include (not limited to);

  • Maintain Office365 environment
  • Monitor and execute IT Help requests or escalate as required
  • IT support for staff onboarding and offboarding
  • Printer support and maintenance
  • Wollongong and Parramatta office IT support; remotely and on-site
  • Set up of online meetings
  • Update IT systems documentation
  • Managing software licenses and registers
  • Answering phones as required

As the successful candidate you will possess:

  • Experience in a similar role and environment
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT
  • Experience in the use and management of the following software platforms
    • Office365/Exchange Online
    • Active Directory
    • Hyper V Virtual Machines
    • Windows Server 2008/2012
    • Microsoft SharePoint
    • VoIP technologies and advanced IP telephone switching and routing technologies
    • Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience in providing on the job training for software systems
  • Security management including managing remote access from multiple sites
  • Broad knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise requests, taking responsibility for tasks and delivering appropriate solutions
  • Initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • High work standards and attention to detail, ensuring quality and accuracy for all tasks
  • Reliability, capable of working well with people at all levels
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive and helpful approach
  • System documentation, including production of user manuals, procedures and guides
